Le sue caratteristiche soniche sono in buona parte determinate da quella che è la base costruttiva di ogni buon giradischi, ovvero una costruzione solida, con un solidissimo e ultra preciso sistema di rotazione. Come accade nel NAD C 556.

Il piatto è costruito in una particolare resina che garantisce i migliori valori di inerzia e annulla le variazioni di velocità di rotazione.

L’uso del bronzo inoltre garantisce un contatto ottimale tra le parti in movimento.
