L’amplificatore multicanale Pioneer SC-LX704 è un vero e proprio hub multimediale basato sulla sesta generazione della Direct Energy HD Amplifier della casa giapponese.
Per questa occasione, si tratta di poter erogare 205 watt su 6 Ω in classe D, in buona compagnia di capacitori Shinyei e di una circuitazione interna della parte pre completamente bilanciata.

Forte anche di un deviatore che esclude praticamente tutto lasciando corrente solo ai circuiti deputati all’audio stereo, in modo che gli appassionati possano avere un solo amplificatore per quelli che tradizionalmente sono due ambiti diversi, il Pioneer SC-LX704 monta a bordo 2 convertitori ES9026PRO, che fanno benissimo il loro dovere anche col DSD e in ambito PCM arrivano a 32 bit e 384 kHz.
I formati audio multicanale supportati sono praticamente tutti, compresi il Dolby Atmos (anche in upmix) e il DTS:X.
Molto efficace s’è rivelato il sistema di correzione acustica ambientale MCACC Pro Auto Room Tuning, che lavora anche per raggiungere le performances surround 3D come IMAX comanda.
Il ricchissimo pannello posteriore rivela (anche) due uscite dedicate ai subwoofer.
Ma non è tutto. Siamo in piena era smart speakers e il Pioneer SC-LX704 può anche essere comandato dai dispositivi Echo via Amazon Alexa e i dispositivi della serie Google Home, oltre che dall’app d’ordinanza e dal dal telecomando auto-illuminato.
Ovviamente non mancano neanche Bluetooth e AirPlay2.
Sul fronte audio sono supportati anche tutti i principali servizi di streaming, oltre alla compatibilità con Roon, mentre sul fronte video il passtrough riguarda l’HDR10, HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma), e il Dolby Vision.
Insomma, siamo alle prese con un amplificatore home theater completo, robusto, con una serie di raffinatezze tecniche: difficile non considerare il Pioneer SC-LX704 come un papabile cuore pulsante del nostro sistema di intrattenimento domestico.
